This year our team has decided to work on a project surrounding the issues of voting literacy. We plan to help the younger community in Pasadena, California, to become more civically engaged.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to engage our younger demographic in Pasadena to be more civically engaged. With a big election year coming up in 2024, we hope to motivate the younger voices to be heard.
Civic Engagment
Unlike years past, this year's Marshall Fundamental GirlsBuild LA club has decided to focus on civic engagement. We believe that our community deserves to be nurtured and our voices heard. With our project, we hope to inspire the younger demographic in Pasadena to let their voices be heard.
Voting Literacy Workshop
This workshop allows the female demographic at Marshall to learn about voting literacy. The Vice Mayor of Pasadena, Felicia Williams, spoke about how she got to where she is, what she does for the community, and how she has faced gender discrimination in her workplace, inspiring the girls to never give up on their dreams.
